Best email marketing software for dance studios (2026)
A dance studio has two kinds of choice for email: the email built into studio management software, or a separate email tool. This guide compares both, with each tool’s published price checked on its own website.

Who wrote this: StudioAnchor, which makes Reach, one of the tools below. We’ve tried to be fair: every competitor price comes from that company’s own pricing page, and the guide says where each one is the better pick.
Before you pick
Three questions to answer first.
- Do you already pay for studio software? Jackrabbit, DanceStudio-Pro, The Studio Director and Akada all include email. If its email covers your announcements, you may not need anything else.
- How big is your list, and how often do you email? Standalone tools price by contacts or by emails sent. Count parents and adult students, and multiply by how many emails each gets a month.
- Do you need to see who opened, and send emails automatically? Open and click tracking, welcome series and re-enrollment reminders are where standalone tools usually go further.
Option 1
Studio software with email built in.
These are full studio management systems: classes, enrollment, billing and more. Email is one part. Their price covers everything, so compare them on the whole system, not on email alone.
| Tool | Published price | Email, from its own pages | Texting |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jackrabbit Class | From $49/month, tiered by student count | Email one family, a class or everyone; templates, attachments, send-later; no send limit. Its help center says it can’t show who opens emails | Through Twilio, at extra cost |
| DanceStudio-Pro | $49, $79 or $165/month (flat, unlimited students) | Robo-Mailer sends scheduled emails and messages to specific classes or groups | Two-way texting on Elite, 3,000 texts a month included |
| The Studio Director | $65/month for up to 100 students, rising with student count ($39 with its payments) | Email by class, season or tag; templates; open analytics; drip emails for new customers, new seasons and birthdays | Alerts by text or email from its mobile app |
| Akada | $60/month, every feature | Built-in email, or connect your own tool such as Mailchimp | Texting and two-way messaging included |
Option 2
Standalone email tools.
These do email only (some add texting), and work beside whatever studio software you use. You import your families from a spreadsheet; most don’t sync with studio software automatically.
| Tool | Free plan | Entry paid price | Price grows with |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mailchimp | 250 contacts, 500 emails a month | Essentials $13/month (up to 500 contacts) | Contacts |
| Constant Contact | Not advertised | Lite from $10.20/month billed annually | Contacts and email sends |
| Brevo | 300 emails a day | Starter $9/month (5,000 emails a month) | Emails sent |
| MailerLite | 250 subscribers, 2,500 emails a month | Comfort $12/month (500 subscribers) | Subscribers |
| StudioAnchor Reach | 250 contacts, 500 emails a month | Studio $20/month (up to 2,500 contacts) | Plan only: Pro is $49/month, no contact limit |
What a studio of 1,000 families would pay
Mailchimp’s Standard plan is $45 a month at 501–1,500 contacts (Essentials, $26.50). Reach Studio is $20 a month up to 2,500 contacts. MailerLite and Constant Contact also rise with list size; check their pricing pages at your exact count. Our Reach vs Mailchimp and Reach vs Constant Contact pages go tier by tier.
Our pick, and when it isn’t
Where each one fits.
- Already on studio software, and email is mostly announcements: use its built-in email. It already knows your classes and families.
- You want email, social posts, events and ads in one place: Constant Contact or Mailchimp.
- You email a lot and mainly care about cost per email: Brevo, which prices by emails sent.
- You want studio-style email at a flat price: Reach. Tag families by class, age or season, send welcome and re-enrollment sequences, and see who opens and clicks. Studio is $20 a month for up to 2,500 contacts and works from ChatGPT and Claude. Reach is email only, with no texting.
Questions
What is the best email marketing software for a dance studio?
It depends on what you already use. If your studio software has email built in (Jackrabbit, DanceStudio-Pro, The Studio Director and Akada all do), start there. Add a dedicated email tool when you want to see who opens and clicks, run automated welcome or re-enrollment emails, or market to families who aren’t enrolled yet.
Is there free email marketing software for dance studios?
Yes. Mailchimp’s free plan covers 250 contacts and 500 emails a month; MailerLite’s covers 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails a month; Brevo’s free plan allows 300 emails a day; StudioAnchor Reach’s free plan covers 250 contacts and 500 emails a month. All checked on each vendor’s pricing page on October 24, 2026.
Can I text dance parents from these tools?
Some of them. Jackrabbit texts through a paid Twilio integration, DanceStudio-Pro includes two-way texting on its Elite plan, Akada includes texting in its price, and Mailchimp, Constant Contact and Brevo sell SMS as an add-on or credit. Reach is email only. Texts have their own consent rules; see our email rules guide.
Do I need a dance-studio CRM, or will a general email tool do?
A general email tool is fine if you keep it tidy: tag families by class, age and season so you can email just the group an announcement is for. Studio software adds the class roster and billing link automatically, at a higher monthly price.
